Why it matters

The coat is the tell.

A dog's coat is the most visible readout of what is happening inside them. When it goes dull, dry or flaky, or the scratching will not stop, the answer usually starts with fatty acids.

Omega-3s are built directly into skin cell membranes, where they help maintain the barrier that holds moisture in and irritants out. Omega-6 is a structural requirement of the outermost layer. Omega-9 helps the other two absorb and stay stable. Miss any of the three and it shows up on the outside.

So we did not build a fish oil. We built a complete omega profile, and then added the cofactors, zinc, biotin, vitamins C and E, that the body needs to put those fats to work.

Heat degrades polyunsaturated fats

EPA, DHA and linoleic acid are the most oxidation-prone compounds in any supplement. Extrusion and baking break them down before the chew ever reaches the jar.

Ours are never cooked

A no-water, no-heat process means the 346 mg of omega fatty acids on the label is the amount that reaches your dog, not a number that was true before manufacturing started.

Two sources, on purpose

Salmon oil brings EPA and DHA in whole-food form. DHAgold algae adds concentrated DHA from the original source. Together they deliver more than either would alone, and the algae portion does not touch wild fish stocks.

Give daily, with or without food. Real salmon is the flavour base, so most dogs take it straight from your hand. There is a mild salmon aroma, which is the ingredient doing its job.
